Frequently Asked Questions

What does Refurbished mean?

Refurbished devices are devices that are pre-owned and have been extensively tested to determine if its components are in a working condition. In the event that there are faulty components on any devices, those components are replaced by working components to ensure the device is fully functional. After the repair of the device has been completed it is then sent for Quality Control – this is another test that is performed on the device to ensure it is in full working condition and that the item is fully functional.

How old are the devices we have on our website?

The devices we sell are items that we have sourced, repaired, and refurbished from refurbished IT wholesalers and corporate companies that were no longer making use of them. These devices vary in exact age but are generally items that are no longer in warranty with its original manufacturers and as such have been repaired and refurbished. We provide a Warranty on the devices, please see below for more information on our Warranty.

What warranty do the devices have?

⚠️ Please Note: Warranty claims must be reported as soon as issues arise.
Continuing to use a device after noticing faults or reporting them late may invalidate your warranty under the Consumer Protection Act.

Device Warranty

All our devices come with a 6-Month Collect & Return Warranty (via couriers) unless otherwise stated.
Some products may carry a shorter or longer warranty; the specific period is always shown on the product page under Specifications.
This warranty covers hardware defects in materials or workmanship.

Warranty Reporting and Responsibilities

Customers are required to inspect their devices immediately upon delivery and promptly report any faults, damages, or operational issues experienced during the warranty period.

Failure to report a defect within a reasonable time after discovery, or to continue using the device despite signs of malfunction, may result in the warranty being voided.

This is because:

  • Late reporting makes it impossible for Azania IT to confirm whether the issue originated from the product itself or from post-delivery use, damage, or neglect.

  • Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), a supplier’s warranty obligation applies only to defects that existed at the time of sale or delivery, not those caused by misuse, accidents, or environmental exposure thereafter.

  • Continuing to use a faulty device can worsen the problem, complicating diagnostics and voiding any warranty protection.

Azania IT reserves the right to inspect and test any device returned under warranty.
If testing confirms that the issue was caused by misuse, accidental damage, electrical surge, liquid ingress, or other external factors, the repair or replacement will not be covered under warranty, and the cost will be for the customer’s account.
